Starting a business is often described as exciting, but the truth is, it can feel like an emotional roller coaster. One day, you’re on top of the world, full of ideas and energy, and the next day you’re questioning if it’s all worth it. The ups and downs don’t just come from money or sales, it’s the daily challenges, the doubts, and the constant work of trying to turn a vision into something real.

As a startup, especially a home bakery like Indulge Your Taste Buds, every step feels like both a victory and a test. From creating recipes and managing orders, to navigating compliance and planning for growth, it takes a lot more than flour and sugar. It takes courage, patience, and a strong belief in what’s possible.

There are moments when the stress feels overwhelming, but there are also moments of pure joy, like seeing a customers smile after tasting a product or reaching a new milestone that once felt impossible. Those little wins remind me why I keep pushing forward.

I hold on to faith and the vision I have for Indulge. In Jamaican culture, we often say:
“Wah nuh dead, nuh dash weh.”
(What is not dead should not be thrown away.)

It’s a reminder that even when things feel tough, the dream is still alive. And as long as it’s alive, it’s worth fighting for.

So yes, the emotions are real fear, doubt, joy, pride all rolled into one. But with every twist and turn of this roller coaster, I’m learning, growing, and moving one step closer to building something lasting.
